Art!

Image
2A took a look at the artist Heather Galler and her artwork recently and noticed all of her patterns and bright colour. We then did our own hot chocolate art that was inspired by her. We talked about cylinders, parallel lines and patterns. Once we had our outline of our hotel chocolate done, we used oil pastels and water colours (they repel and created some cool effects on their artwork).  Here are our finished projects (with a couple still needing to be finished up)!

Students have been taught to underline the digraph they see in the word, so when going over homework words, please ask students to underline the digraphs. 1. ch eese 2. th ank 3. wh en 4. fi sh 5. blo ck

A reminder that the used book sale in support of Family Literacy Day will be held Tuesday. The books are 50 cents each. Please include the message in your blogs. Exact change is encouraged! I believe if you have any donations Mrs. St. Jean is still accepting gently used books for the sale.
